I was in Global City last Thursday taking Melissa around and took several photos.
Melissa is an artist and a photographer so I felt hanging out with her gave me a new perspective in how I see things through my camera.
I'd only use it for events - taking photos of people, cute things, what not... But then when she was taking photos, she'd see things the normal eye doesn't see. It's almost as if she can see art in the most unlikely places.
I tried my luck in that and I think I've improved. In the day and age of the digital camera where in we're more on quantity over quality, I'd like to change the way I take photos. Of course I'd still be posting so many photos of the people I love because that's just how I am, but I'd also want to exercise the perspectives that could make anything mundane into something interesting.
In this light...I just took a shot of this intersection in Global City.
In my normal mind, I'd say this looks like a street somewhere else outside Manila, like Singapore or LA or wherever...
Instead of that, I'd like to say that this is how the whole Philippines can become - organized, orderly, clean and world-class.
